Loan Boxes
Loan Boxes put history into your students’ hands. Each box contains real and replica artefacts, giving pupils a close-up experience of the past. The objects in the boxes are inspired by discoveries from our archaeological excavations.
York Archaeology learning offers a range of Themed Boxes that can be hired for classroom use. You can explore the daily life of the Vikings or discover how archaeologists study Prehistoric times. Each box contains artefacts, replicas, and teachers’ notes to help bring history to life. You can choose a standard single box or our enhanced Loan Boxes Live! package, which includes a linked online session alongside a Viking or Tudor box.
